Xenbaku is a novel form of rope bondage, created by myself, Claire Xenia Fox. It's a collections of knots and ties, with a unique look and feel, notably different from classic Kinbaku/Shibari techniques.
This website is my attempt at documenting Xenbaku. I apologize for not providing a better introduction into Xenbaku. I will try and provide a more in-depth explanation of everything, if it turns out that people are indeed interested in learning more about Xenbaku.
Most of the knots used in Xenbaku are safe to use with a wide range of ropes, including traditional hemp ropes and modern kernmantle static cords alike.
For Xenbau I recommend ropes that are 860 cm, 640 cm, 420 cm, and 200 cm in length, are 6 mm in diameter, and have whipped ends. I like to also keep a set of slightly longer and a set of slightly shorter ropes, that I use for tying people on the taller or shorter end of the spectrum, respectively.
I'm calling ropes of those different lengths "Long Rope", "Medium Rope", "Short Rope", and "Cord" respectively. (They can all be made from the same type of rope, don't let my use of the word "cord" confuse you here. ;) I like to organize my ropes into "sets" of 1 Long Rope, 2 Medium Ropes, 4 Short Ropes, and 2 Cords.
I hope you find some interesting information on this page. Play safe and have fun!
